Enterprise Rent-A-Car

When we rented a car (through my travel agent) we had no issues, other than there was 1 person working the desk to get people checked in. We picked up the car in the same garage we had dropped it off at. Not knowing that was a ZTL zone. After getting a letter in the mail, months later, informing me that I had a fine for driving in a ZTL zone, that is when I decided to call Enterprise to ask about it. But per previous reviews, this car company will hang up on you when asking them about a ZTL fine! They also make you return the car in a ZTL zone, so you would have to pay it no matter what! I called the number on the paperwork I received in the mail for the fine (Comune Di Firenze). The lady I spoke with told me I could call the car company and ask if they have a permit for the zone, and see if they could wave it. But as I previously stated, THEY HANG UP ON YOU! I will NOT be renting anything in the future, especially in Florence!

Avoid! Rented a car at this location near train station. Service was slow but car okay. Big problem is car stored at garage 1 block away in ZTL zone and Enterprise Locauto does not have permit to drive cars there? So when you drive car out you are in ZTL zone and get a fine. So when you return car you get a fine for driving in ZTL zone since return garage in the ZTL zone. Enterprise charged me 25 euro admin fee. TWiCE. Waiting for police fine letters to reach me in US Do not recommend this company. Yes I contacted customer service. I rented a car from Hertz at same garage in past with no fines, no problems.

Nos atendieron bien y bastante rápido, tanto para retirar como para devolver. No nos presionaron para contratar seguros o conductores extra ni quisieron cobrarnos daños ni nada similar. Lo único que mencionaría es que esperábamos una Renegade y nos dieron una Skoda, pero estaba impecable y realmente era similar en tamaño y prestaciones. Recomendaría contratar con ellos.

Avoid this rental company at all costs. I just paid a fine for driving into the ZTL in Florence for $320! The original fine was €33, but was sent to Enterprise, who did not notify us. So it doubles, triples and eventually gets sent to a collections agency in our country. What could have been a very simple, small fine to pay turned into a very expensive ordeal for us over a year and a half later.

Dont rent a car here! unpleasent and rude staff! I had the driving license with me, bought an extra insurance (double the price) you dont get car at this address, they tell you to go somewhere else to pick up the car to pay fine for driving in the zone that you are not allowed. Didnt get the car becasue bank card didnt match the name in driving license!! to block 1 Euro cent on a card, avoid !!! and zero response from booking service support LOCAUTO

Car pick up at the Bari airport was quick and easy. Drop off in Florence was a bit more complicated but mostly location. I wish they had more signs where to drive for drop off as garage has multiple entries. Car was ok. Supposed to be Golf but got Seat. Kind of basic, but had all necessary for comfortable driving. It felt a bit used inside and outside but did a good job driving from Bari to Florence.

Ask for Sarah! Absolutely seamless reservation and pick-up of our delightful little VW. Convenient location near the heart of Florence. Friendly service with a smile. Sarah made it all so pleasant, smooth , and efficient. Cannot recommend highly enough.
