Budget Car Rental

You cant rent the car you paid for. They always try to sell extra. Ok its usual rental car company behavior. But the biggest issue is they rent the cars with summer tires while its snowing outside. We were lucky and did not have problems but especially the last day car was sliding all the way. Totally disappointing experience.

Not even one star, but there's no option to give ZERO... We booked a car through Ryanair (flights and car) and paid in full 45.53e. The car was dropped off on time, keys were left in the box, as per instructions, see photos attached. The following day we received the invoice 408.87e : 252.53 rental charges, 55.86e location surcharge, 11.75e license fee and 15.00e late return fee. 163.34e was already deducted from deposit, the amount due is 363.34e. We are renting cars quite often - 5,6 times/year, nothing similar ever happened to us...

AVOID! Booked a car through Booking.com, paid for it along with full insurance cover. Got to the Bergamo pickup and the customer service advisor started trying to sell me extra insurance and other extras I didn't need. It was quite confusing but eventually got the car after getting to the offsite car park. Pickup was easy and the car was great but when returned the car they charged and additional £260, I've no idea what this was for and was more than the booking price. I've emailed several times and they have made no attempt to reply. I would never use Budget ever again.

Never! Never rent a car from Budget or Avis!!! Even if it's the last one available! They're total scammers! They'll simply charge you for non-existent damage and won't even consider any evidence to the contrary!

We really had nice experience. We got upgraded with a brand new car, so girls had nice golden Jeep to make Italian vacation even better than it was expected) Easy check in and out. But just be aware that they don’t accept cards from virtual banks. It was surprisingly for us and we were lucky to have other debit card to make our trip happen)))

I booked a car in advance for 311.47 euros. My driver's license could not be found before the trip, so I called Budget. They said changing the driver would cost about 5 euros per day. In Italy, they said the reservation had to be completely transferred to my wife's name. Altogether, this added an extra cost of 473.53 euros on top of the 311.47 euros. I submitted a complaint to Budget Finland two weeks ago, but they have not responded. I do not recommend. Use Hertz instead. They do not deliberately cheat."
