Be cautious of extra charges! We booked a Peugeot 3008 or similar (SUV category) for pickup at 19:30 through their subsidiary company (Galdieri Rent), having provided our flight number during booking in case of delays. When our flight was unfortunately delayed, we immediately contacted Galdieri Rent at 20:16 (within an hour of the scheduled pickup) to inform them and request their shuttle bus, which was included in the booking. Despite repeated calls, we were not picked up until 20:41. Upon arrival at their remote office, we were told that the car we had booked was no longer available despite our timely contact and the fact that they had our flight number. Instead, they pressured us into paying an additional €74.31 for a BYD SEAL U, which is in the same category as the vehicle we had already reserved and paid for. This was not an upgrade, and the additional charge felt like a tactic to profit from our vulnerable situation, especially since we were far from the airport with no real alternatives. Be extremely cautious when booking with this or their subsidiary company. Even if you follow all procedures, including registering your flight and calling ahead, they may not honor your booking. Once you’re at their location, you’ll have no realistic alternative but to accept additional charges.
